LG BD640 Review

The LG BD640 is a spectacular entry level, inaugural Blu-ray disc player just released by the manufacturer for the 2011 year. It comes with LG SimpLink™ connectivity, a USB 2.0 playback function, Dolby® TrueHD Digital Plus surround sound features, express reaction startup, 1080p high definition upscaling features, Blu-ray 1080p high definition playback functions, access to online streaming media content, and embedded Wi-Fi options. If the consumer is seeking an affordable Blu-ray player option with upscaled features, the BD640 is a perfect solution.

LG BD640 Review

The LG BD640 is very much like the LG BD630 in terms of its outer housing. It has a black casing that makes it easy to match up to your current entertainment system. The device has a spring loaded disc tray centered in the front panel. On the right hand side one will find controls for the pause, stop, power, and open and close functions of the device. In the same area is the remote control sensor. This device is sold with the player body, the audio video cables one requires, and the remote control. The rear panel of the device sports connectivity options including the AC power cord, the video out connection, the 2CH audio out, the component video output, the HDMI output, the digital audio output, and a LAN port.
